forum

I spent my entire morning attending a Unity Dialogue Ceremony (sort of like a forum) also known as the "Majlis Dialog Perpaduan" attended by one of the ministers in the Prime Minister Office, some other ministers, lecturers, gov & private sector rep, students, National Service Trainers & Trainees, village reps, and the members of the public. It was organized by the Department of National Unity and Integration (they called it "Jabatan Perpaduan Negara dan Integrasi Nasional) and the Department of Prime Minister.

The citizens got to address their issues to the ministers and received feedbacks or explanation from them (the ministers). This was actually the first held in Kuching. I didn't say anything because I didn't think I had any related problem(s).

After the dialogue and lunch, the students council members (me included ;P) went for a photo-taking session and then, I went to the pictorial library to look at the historical pictures, stamps and so on while waiting for my father to arrive. I didn't get to look at all the things there because I was reading the stories when I walked pass the papers with stories printed on it, haha. I'm crazy for antique pictures and old stories.

I thought the forum was somewhat highly political and I wasn't such a political-minded person so it was awkward for me to be there at the beginning. Thank God that the ministers were not that stiff-looking so there were some jokes cracked here and there. It was okay but the waiting was long because we arrived a little too early.
